A Stunning Christian of the Gospel Who Enjoys God’s Salvation – The True Believer

God is mysterious,
but He is not a mystic.

If the gospel has no root,
one becomes an unhealthy mystic,
strange enough to worship
an abnormal cult leader
as a savior or messiah.

If John the Baptist had not been imprisoned
and beheaded,
he could have been reduced to
either an unhealthy mystic
or a legalistic cult leader
by the crowds that followed him.

The law itself is not bad,
but if one becomes a legalist,
they constantly condemn and judge others,
making people’s lives difficult.

A humanist has no way to overcome
the limits that one day come upon them
so they end up collapsing after success
or living as Christians who trouble others and bring reproach.

We must not become people
who constantly bring reproach,
but people who constantly receive answers.
Only then can we enjoy true gospel success
and live as stunning Christians
who are also happy and successful in this world.

God is Almighty,
able to raise up children for Abraham
even out of stones.

John the Baptist cried out against the Jewish Pharisees,
who claimed to be faithful children of Abraham
yet bore no good fruit:

"You brood of vipers!
Who warned you
to flee from the coming wrath?
The axe is already at the root of the trees,
and every tree that does not produce good fruit
will be cut down and thrown into the fire."

Therefore, bear good fruit
in keeping with repentance.

When there is repentance that turns life’s direction
only toward Jesus Christ,
then through the spiritual battle
of changing our old nature,
the old passes away and we are born again as a new creation.
In this way, neighbors will be able to call us
true Christians
so that we will be stunning Christians of the gospel who enjoy God’s salvation. Amen!

(Luke 3:7-20, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
