Jesus Condemns the Greed of the Powerful and Commends the Heart of the Humble

Image
Jesus encouraged and commended the widow who put in two very small copper coins. What He commended was not the amount of her offering. (from the text) The greed of the powerful that plunders the weak in the name of religion is a sin before God. The greed that robs the wealth and life of the humble is the work of Satan that destroys God’s justice. When you are deceived by Satan, your body becomes ill and your wealth vanishes. Do not live as a puppet of Satan, masked in hypocrisy. Jesus watches our actions. Jesus warned against the teachers of the law who like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Stay away from such people. Hypocritical scribes and religious leaders are those outside of Christ. Enter through the narrow gate. The gate of greed is wide and many enter through it, but it ultimately leads ...

The First Step Toward World Evangelization: Joseph Sold Into Egypt

Image
Then God, even in the most extreme circumstances, will cause you to dream with His covenant to take the first step toward world evangelization. (from the text) When you dream God's dream with the covenant He has given, God's providence will never change no matter what hiders you from your surroundings.   Even in Joseph's most despairing moments, God's plan of salvation remained steadfast, and God's kingdom expanded through Joseph.   Evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Reuben, who had thrown Joseph into the pit to kill him, became brazen-faced, got Joseph's robe, and dipped the robe in the blood of a goat, deceiving his father with lies that some ferocious animal had devoured him.   He rationalized his actions and eventually lost his birthright as the firstborn.   Judah, who sold Joseph for twenty pieces of silver out of greed for money, left his brothers and lived alone in a foreign land, onl...

Live with Christ's authority towards God's dream

Image
The first step toward world evangelization is to dream God's dream. (from the text) Dreaming of something that is not God's dream is not a dream but a delusion. When Joseph held on to the dream God gave him in his heart, God worked in every place Joseph stayed, and he enjoyed the blessing of prosperity. The first step toward world evangelization is to dream God's dream. To be a person of Christ who enjoys the blessing of a royal priesthood by the name of Jesus Christ given by God, you must crucify the flesh along with its greed and desires. If Christ is not the first priority in your family and church, money becomes the top priority which destroys relationships and corrupts the church. Judah, who was fixated on money and sold Joseph for twenty pieces of silver, lived a cursed life, losing two sons at once and making the mistake of lying with his daughter-in-law. Families and churches caught in the trap of money fall into unhealthy mysticism because of money, become liars di...

Shed off the nature of original sin and live with Christ's authority. Begin this transformation

Image
Jacques-Louis David, The Death of Socrates, 1787 Socrates said, “Know yourself,” but the Bible teaches, “Examine ourselves first.”   If there is an answer to transform our destiny, there is no need to be dismayed or reason for arrogance.   Amid frustrating problems, pray silently in the name of Jesus Christ. Then, God surely works and answers you.   Use the authority and power of Christ given by God.   Trying to solve problems with worldly methods is walking in the counsel of the wicked, standing in the way of sinners, and sitting in the seat of mockers. The Christ whom King David worshipped is the foundation and head of all things, the resurrected Lord who rose from the dead, the answer that transforms our fate, and the essence of the gospel.   If we live with stubborn human emotions and the nature of original sin imprinted by Satan, we cannot believe in God even if we want to, nor understand even if we try.   Ultimatel...

A Man After God's Own Heart: The Faith of David and the Authority of Christ

Image
Love Christ with all your heart, soul, and mind. When you possess and use Christ’s authority and power, God will affirm you as His child.   (from the text) Through the prophet Samuel, God anointed David as king and personally testified concerning him:  "I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart;  he will do everything I want him to do."   David, whom God validated, was a person of Christ who perfectly aligned with God’s heart and was diligent with unwavering faith in the LORD God.   As an expert shepherd, he testified to God's work with skillful hands. Even if you are weak and lacking a little, know the authority and power of the name of Christ within the genealogy of Christ. Then, every creature in this world will bow down to you just as the evil spirit tormenting King Saul fled when David praised, spiritual problems were healed as the works of demons departed from the body, and David defeated the mighty Goliath.   Without th...
