The Crucial Difference Between King Saul and David: God’s Grace Even Amid Mistakes

Image
Through the prayer of one prophet, Isaiah, peace came to individuals, families, and even the nation. And a shoot came up from the stump of Jesse;  from his roots, King David bore fruit of the covenant. Like that, when we dream with God’s covenant and God’s covenant becomes our vision, the image of the Triune God, Jesus Christ, flows out from our whole being, and God’s work is fulfilled in the field. Even while claiming to believe in God, we must admit that we are still bound by deeply engraved shamanistic superstitions. Only by confessing with one, whole, and persistent heart that Jesus is our Lord and Christ can we advance the answers that are to come in the future. Jesus Christ, the fulfiller of God’s covenant, is the Alpha and the Omega, the eternal God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. Satan always seeks to obstruct the fulfillment of God’s covenant, so that there may be no Exodus, no return from Babylon, and no deliverance from Rome, keeping people trappe...

Moses the Murderer: A Demonized Self-Identity

Image
Even Moses – born of the Hebrew tribe of Levi, trained in all the wisdom of the royal palace, and called as a great servant of God – was gripped by the power of sin in his innermost being. If he cannot discern that, the elite knowledge he gained in Pharaoh’s palace becomes demonized in the field, reducing him to nothing more than a murderer, a hypocrite, and a fugitive. Wearing the mask of justice, Moses slew the Egyptian who oppressed a Hebrew, driven by rage and violence. Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. But the deed was quickly exposed, and he was forced to flee into the wilderness of Midian. Even if you act strong, ablaze with a sense of justice and elite knowledge, without the intervention of God, there is no applause or praise. Instead, someone “stronger” appears one day to bite down upon your weakness, leaving you with rejection, betrayal, and not a single helper. The coils of the power of Satan, the power of sin, and ...

The Cross That Solves the Fundamental Problem: The Power of Forgiveness of Sins

Image
Before healing the paralytic’s disease, Jesus first healed his fundamental problem. “Your sins are forgiven.” When the power of sin begins to reign, hardship comes upon both body and spirit. Therefore, when you get sick physically or mentally, do not fall into despair or discouragement, but solve the fundamental problem first. No matter how uprightly or diligently you live, if you fall into spiritual problems, there is no answer and no way forward. All our righteous acts are like filthy rags;  we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. If you are unaware of this truth, you are mistaken and complain that God has struck and punished you when you face failure, even though you had lived righteously and zealously. God has never struck us. It was we who struck Him, spat on Him, and nailed Him to the cross. The Creator God abandoned His glorious nature and demonstrated His love for us by dying on the cross. Do not be deceived by a fleshly religious mindset th...

Jesus’ Rite of Passage: Spiritual Battle with Satan

Image
Before beginning his work of salvation, Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to undergo a rite of passage: the spiritual battle against Satan. If even Jesus, who had nothing to do with the power of sin, had to go through the spiritual battle against Satan, how much more is it natural for us, who were once bound by the law of sin and death, to pass through this same rite of passage of spiritual warfare? Satan tempted Jesus, who had fasted forty days, to turn stones into bread. Satan seeks to exchange the spiritual for the physical, entangling us in food, clothing, and shelter and deceiving us to lose hold of spiritual blessing. But as spiritual beings, we do not live by bread alone. As heirs sealed with the eternal inheritance of God’s kingdom, we live by the Word of God. Satan also stirs up our pride, tempting us to put God to the test. He whispered that if Jesus threw himself down from the high place, angels would catch him and people would admire and follow him. But Jesus overcame with t...

God’s People Standing on the Stage of Grace as Historical Witnesses

Image
There is Satan, who lays down decrees of massacre upon our bodies, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy our lives, and who tries to cut off the lineage of the gospel. The king of Egypt, who feared the Israelites because they grew stronger and more numerous under persecution, commanded the Hebrew midwives to kill every Hebrew boy at birth. The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do. So God was kind to the midwives and gave them families of their own.   God placed the Hebrew midwives on the stage of grace, shining the light of His glory upon them, making them historical witnesses and raising them as stars of their generation. The Satan who appeared in Genesis 3 tries to cut off the lineage of Christ – the line of the gospel – through terrifying decrees of massacre.  Yet through such persecution and suffering, God raises up people like Moses, who will inherit the covenant. When we hold onto the covenant of Genesis 3:15 given to us...

A Stunning Christian of the Gospel Who Enjoys God’s Salvation – The True Believer

Image
God is mysterious, but He is not a mystic. If the gospel has no root, one becomes an unhealthy mystic, strange enough to worship an abnormal cult leader as a savior or messiah. If John the Baptist had not been imprisoned and beheaded, he could have been reduced to either an unhealthy mystic or a legalistic cult leader by the crowds that followed him. The law itself is not bad, but if one becomes a legalist, they constantly condemn and judge others, making people’s lives difficult. A humanist has no way to overcome the limits that one day come upon them so they end up collapsing after success or living as Christians who trouble others and bring reproach. We must not become people who constantly bring reproach, but people who constantly receive answers.  Only then can we enjoy true gospel success and live as stunning Christians who are also happy and successful in this world. God is Almighty, able to raise up children for Abraham even out of stones. John the Baptist cried out against...

The 315 Nation that Prospers Even in Persecution and Tribulation

Image
A new king, who did not know about Joseph,  came to power in Egypt,  and the persecution against the Israelites became severe. The king of Egypt came to dread the Israelites and oppressed them with forced labor and worked them ruthlessly. But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread. So he made their lives bitter with hard labor in brick and mortar  and with all kinds of work in the fields. Satan shakes us with fear and oppression,  but God’s plan is never frustrated. When the covenant of Genesis 3:15  that crushes Satan's head becomes dim,  people may say “Lord, Lord,”  yet without truth, and fall prey to cults and heresies that deceive and even steal their lives. The way to prosper even in persecution is  to restore faith in the Messiah Christ promised in Genesis 3:15 to crush the head of  Satan, the strong one within us, who plunders and robs what God has given. Our struggle is not against flesh and blo...
