The Secret to Removing the Monster Within and Becoming a Person of the Spirit
On another Sabbath day, Jesus healed and restored a man whose right hand was withered.
The worship on the Sabbath is a time of restoration.
But the scribes and Pharisees, bound by the snares of the Law, searched for evidence to accuse Jesus and even plotted how they might kill Him.
It is only right to rejoice when a man with a withered hand is healed and restored, yet they sought to kill Jesus who healed him because a monster existed within them.
Jesus revealed the identity of that monster, describing it as “your father the devil, a liar and a murderer, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him."
Even if you keep the Law and memorize the Ten Commandments, without recognizing that the key figure of Scripture is Jesus Christ, you end up wearing a mask disguised as an angel of light for the sake of your own righteousness and reputation.
Addicted to your own righteousness, you lose all sense of direction and fall into becoming a hardened and proud monster with no gratitude, joy, or fruit in your heart.
If we do not realize that the darkness, emptiness, and chaos that existed before creation still exist even now, we do not have the way to get rid of the monster coiled within us.
Only when Christ, who solved all problems through the covenant of the cross on Calvary, becomes the Lord of the Sabbath and our Lord can the monster within us be removed.
The purpose of the Law is to make us aware of our sin so that we might believe in Jesus Christ, who frees us from the law of sin and death through the law of the Spirit of life.
Therefore, receive Jesus Christ as our Lord, who came as the Lord of the Sabbath into the place where the Law once stood, which we ourselves were never able to fulfill.
Then we will completely escape the bondage of the Law and the grace of being filled with the Holy Spirit and the joy of restoration will come upon us so much so that we will live as people of the Spirit seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Amen!
