Breaking Old Nature Idolatry, Genesis 3:15, Covenant of Christ’s Blood, Removing Inner Idols, Victory of the Cross

God’s first miracle in subduing the land of idols was turning the Nile River—an idol of life and economic prosperity to the Egyptian people, and the very foundation of royal authority to Pharaoh—into blood.

When the idol that symbolized Egypt’s abundance and power—the Nile—was turned into blood, Pharaoh summoned the Egyptian magicians, who struck the waters and changed them into blood as well.

But the river became even more corrupt and smelled so bad.

Satan’s strategy is to pretend to solve problems—to imitate or cover them up—yet in the end, he only makes the problem worse.

The world claims to heal anxiety with medication, but instead produces severe addiction.

The church cries, “Lord, Lord,” yet fails to change the framework of the old self—and therefore cannot enjoy the Kingdom of God, growing more and more powerless and impoverished.

The reason people worship idols is fear.

Break free from the foolishness of trying to change the environment without changing the root of the problem.

With the gospel God has given us—in the name of Jesus Christ—tear down the idols within us, the strongholds of Satan, the idol of the Nile River in our hearts.

Moses, who encountered God face to face, recorded in the scroll of Scripture all the signs and wonders, the mighty power and great awe, the works of God performed before the eyes of Israel.

The God of Genesis 3:15, who crushed the head of the ancient serpent, clearly recorded in Genesis the covenant that He is the God who fights for us—the Messiah Christ.

Therefore, stand firm and do not be shaken.

When you engage in spiritual battle in the name of Jesus Christ, nothing in all creation can separate you from the love of God.

“Death, disease, helplessness, and the weak, trembling old nature—be completely shattered in the name of Jesus Christ!

May I overflow with the identity and authority as a child of the living God.”

The power of sin feeds on the law.

Do not live as a slave to the law but reign as a king of grace.

The precious blood of Christ on the cross fulfilled the law.

Jesus Christ—who rescued us from the dominion of darkness, who smites the loins of those who rise up against us and strikes our foes till they rise no more—is the image of God.

From today, tear down the idols of the Nile River within us—the gods of money, success, and ideology that have taken our hearts captive.

Let the blood of Christ’s covenant flow like a river.

Jesus Christ has gained victory through the cross. Amen!

(Exodus 7:14–25; Matthew 7:21; Colossians 1:13–15)
